Was anti-Hillary ad by Obama campaign in Feb 2008

Aneurin Bevan, then Minister of Health, speaking on the founding of the National Health Service a year after its introduction.

Sixty years ago, the UK already had a better health service than the US does today. And all Obama’s accomplished is produce the same health care “plan” his campaign derided Hillary Clinton for supporting.

This is the ad that the Obama campaign ran against Hillary Clinton back in February 2008:

  1. Well obviously you and I disagree on a lot politically, and even on this whole healthcare debate. However, on the mandated purchase issue, I think we are in agreement. For all else that may be up for debate, I think this is one idea that should’ve been flushed down the toilet long before it was ever brought up!

But, then again, Obama has to satisfy some corporate political allies if he intends to get anywhere, which is exactly what such a mandate would do….put more money into limited pockets….blech!

    • ” Even half of rank-and-file Republicans have liberal ideology where government is concerned, they just don’t know that’s what it is. They may watch Fox News and see a world where Democrats waste time on silly left-wing junk, but when you listen to their concerns, they are the same things liberals are concerned about: They want to live in a world where they have the right to an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work and the right to be left alone to live our lives. They are absolutely right that what we had of that has been slipping away. ” _ Avedon at Sideshow
